THE TOWN OF NEW HARTFORD IS CURRENTLY ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITION:

Planning Board

Term:              7 years – January 1-December 31

Meetings:       Second Monday of each month at 5:30 pm

                        Meeting place is Town of New Hartford Municipal Office

                        8635 Clinton Street (at the Orchards)

                        New Hartford, New York 13413

A vacancy currently exists on the Town of New Hartford Planning Board.

The Planning Board is responsible for oversight of all land use planning activities within the Town of New Hartford; that includes review of all commercial, industrial, and residential development proposals from inception through construction oversight and verification.  It also includes the development of proposals for necessary modifications to the Town Master Plan, Zoning Law, and Subdivision Regulations.  The Planning Board coordinates with the Town Board and Zoning Board of Appeals as well as where it is applicable with other laws and Village Planning Boards.  The Planning Board is responsible for implementing the Town’s overall growth and development policies.
