Town of New Hartford Announces “Fireworks Over the Park 2026” at Sherrillbrook Town Park, New Hartford, NY
The Town of New Hartford is proud to announce the return of fireworks to Sherrillbrook Town Park with Fireworks Over the Park 2026, a community celebration honoring America250 and the nation’s 250th anniversary.
The event will take place on Sunday, July 5, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Sherrillbrook Town Park, Route 12, New Hartford. The evening will feature food trucks, live music, a DJ, family-friendly activities, and a fireworks show at dusk.
This celebration marks the return of fireworks to New Hartford after a 20-year hiatus, and is expected to bring together families, residents, and visitors for an evening of community pride, entertainment, and patriotic celebration.
Event highlights include:
• Food Trucks located at the pickleball parking lot beginning at 5:00 PM
• Easy Money Big Band performing at the gazebo from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM
• DJ-AD performing at the Food Truck Court from 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Fireworks Show by American Fireworks at dusk
• Park & Ride Shuttle Service from the Sangertown parking lot at the former Macy’s entrance, with park-bound departures from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM and return shuttles beginning after the fireworks show.
Food vendors scheduled to participate include:
Mr. Squeeze Lemonade, Squeezers Lemonade, Chimo’s, Deli-Liscious, Scott’s Tots, Stathis Greek, Catalina’s Spanish, DNA Tacos, Just Dipped, and Mr. Soft Serve.
Parking at Sherrillbrook Town Park will be limited, and attendees are encouraged to use the Park & Ride shuttle service from Sangertown. Download the flyer for details.
Guests are welcome to bring chairs, blankets, bug spray, and plenty of “oohs and ahhs” for the fireworks show.
For safety and park rules, attendees are asked not to bring pop-up tents, portable grills, fireworks, smoking/vaping products, or alcoholic beverages, as these items are not permitted at the park.
