Playground Program 2026 Flyer

The Town of New Hartford’s Summer Playground Program gives children a fun and active way to enjoy the summer through a variety of supervised activities. The program is led by a Playground Director and supported by playground counselors.

The 6-week Summer Program will run from July 6 through August 14, 2026.

ELIGIBILITY: The program is open to Town of New Hartford residents who have completed grades K through 6 in Spring 2026 and attend elementary school within the district. Registration is based on the child’s completed grade level and the elementary school they attend. Local elementary schools will be contacted to verify enrollment and grade completion.

The fee for the full 6-week program is $500 per child
 (no discount for additional children)

 
Registration Information

• Registration is accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and must be completed online only beginning June 1, 2026 at: https://parksrec.egov.basgov.com/newhartford

• Registration must be completed before a child may attend the program.

• Payment is due at the time of registration and must be made online by credit or debit card. Please note that a nominal processing fee applies to all online payments. No in-person registrations will be accepted.

Please note: This program is not intended to serve as a daycare alternative or day camp program. Daily attendance is not required.  For the safety of all participants, a parent or designated guardian must sign children in and out each day. Failure to follow this policy may result in dismissal from the program.

Field Trips: Field trips will be announced at a later date. Participation in field trips will require an additional fee beyond the program registration fee.

Refund Policy:  Refunds will be issued only if the Town of New Hartford cancels a program. No refunds will be given once the program has started.
